AIP expands presence in Spain and welcomes Alfonso Andrés and Alfonso Lorenzi to the team
AIP Management is pleased to welcome Alfonso Andrés and Alfonso Lorenzi as Directors in the AIP team, working out of Madrid, Spain. Both Mr. Andrés and Mr. Lorenzi are highly experienced renewable energy investment professionals, joining from Vestas where they worked together for more than 10 years.
With the addition of two new directors, AIP is significantly expanding its presence in the growing Spanish market for renewable energy projects, where AIP’s flexible capital offering and ability to build long-term partnerships have proven to be attractive features to renewable energy developers.

We have a strategic focus on the growing markets in Southern Europe and having a presence on the ground in Spain through an experienced team will help us accelerate that strategy.”
About Mr. Alfonso Andrés
Mr. Alfonso Andrés comes from Vestas, where he has held different positions for the past 11 years, latest as Head of Structured Finance for Southern Europe and Turkey. Previously he worked as a financial advisor in KPMG Corporate Finance in Madrid and Los Angeles specializing in M&A and valuations adding 15+ years of experience as an investment and financing professional. Mr. Andrés holds a Law & Business degree, he is CFA & CAIA charterholder, finance teacher and mentor in various business schools, and certified ACC Coach by ICF.
About Mr. Alfonso Lorenzi
Alfonso Lorenzi is joining AIP from Vestas, where he has worked for the past 12 years, holding different positions, latest as Head of Financial Solutions and Structured Finance for South Europe, MENA and LATAM. Prior to joining Vestas, he worked in Accenture Consulting, KPMG Corporate Finance and Ahorro Corporación (Investment Bank of the former 43 Spanish Saving Banks), adding more than 18 years of experience within energy and infrastructure investment and financing. Mr. Lorenzi holds Bachelor and Master degrees in Engineering and in Energy and Fuels from Universidad Politecnica de Madrid, an MBA and a Development program in Structured Finance & Private Equity, both at IE business school.
