Viiatti

Viiatti represents AIP’s investment into the 149MW Matkussaari onshore wind project located in West Finland. The project is 100% owned by Valorem, an experienced French independent power producer who, through its subsidiary, will also provide asset management services during both the construction and operational phases.

AIP will provide EUR 135m project financing to the project via its preferred instrument structure.

The project will consist of 27 Nordex N163 5.5MW turbines which is expected to have a total production of approximately 463 GWh per year. The project, therefore, will supply electricity to the equivalent of around 60,400 Finish households and avoid the equivalent of 33,500 tonnes of carbon dioxide per annum.

Construction commenced in April 2022, and the wind farm is expected to reach commercial operations in 2025 after which Nordex will provide O&M services for 35 years.
