Walney Extension is a 659MW offshore wind farm located in the East Irish Sea in the UK. The wind farm consists of 87 positions split into 40 MHI Vestas 8MW and 47 Siemens-Gamesa 7MW turbines. The asset has been operational since mid-2018 and has been providing renewable electricity to over 590,000 UK households per year.
AIP investor PKA holds a 25% stake alongside Danish pension fund PFA (25%) and Ørsted (50%). The financing of the investment includes debt financing in the JV holding company, co-owned by PKA and PFA.
