WHAT WE LOOK FOR
We target investments in Europe and the US
The primary focus is on assets located in Europe and North America.
We focus on high quality investments in economic infrastructure
Our focus is on the cash-flow profile of the asset, underpinned by long contracts. Core sectors include energy, utilities, transport and telecom. We do not invest in coal or nuclear generation assets.
We are long-term equity investors
Dedicated to the long-term performance of our assets, we typically commit EUR 50 – 500 million per investment and prefer to take non-controlling equity stakes.

HOW WE DO IT
We invest alongside strong, knowledgeable and aligned partners
We focus on partnering with operationally skilled Tier-1 strategic companies such as utilities with a proven track-record. We put great emphasis on ensuring strong alignment with our project partners and a clear split of risks and responsibilities.
We favor controllable asset risks over commodity market risks
We invest in high quality assets where the governance and structure are well defined and carried out together with best-in-class partners. We avoid high dependency on market risks via long contractual arrangements and investment structures.
We act responsibly and have a thorough focus on ESG
We believe that good governance and good returns go hand-in-hand, and that positive side effects to society and the environment are important for the economic setting in which our investments are embedded. ESG is an integral part of our investment process and a key component in the management of our assets post acquisition. AIP is a UN PRI signatory and a member of GRESB Infrastructure.
