Coalburn is a standalone Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project with a total capacity of 500 MW / 1,000 MWh (2hour duration). Located within the South Lanarkshire Council area in South Scotland, the project strengthens grid stability and supports the UK’s transition toward a more flexible and resilient energy system.
